Meals and Mealtime Support
We believe mealtime should feel easy and enjoyable. Participants bring their own meals each day, and our staff provides any needed assistance with heating, serving, or feeding. The center includes accessible dining areas, a refrigerator, and a microwave for safe storage and preparation.
Meals are shared in a relaxed, friendly setting — often filled with laughter and conversation. And because we love to celebrate, you’ll find frequent parties, special treats, and themed events where food is provided for everyone to enjoy together.
Restrooms, Showers and Laundry
We understand that dignity in personal care is vital. That’s why AEC has made significant investments in modern, adaptive facilities that support individuals of all abilities.
- Fully Accessible Restrooms: Extra-wide doorways, slip-resistant flooring, and adaptive fixtures support
both independence and assisted care. - Assisted Lift Systems: Our restrooms and shower spaces include mechanical lift systems (similar to
Hoyer lifts) that allow staff to safely and comfortably assist individuals with limited mobility. - Private Shower Room: Features roll-in access, multiple seating options, and handheld controls for
maximum comfort and safety. - On-Site Laundry: Ensures personal care needs are handled discreetly and respectfully throughout the day.
